Description

Additional Narrative

Units 1 and 2 were traveling southbound on IR 71 in the right lane. Unit 2 struck a deer in the roadway and became disabled. Unit 1 struck unit 2 in the right rear pushing unit 2 off of the left side of the roadway. Unit 1 continued; traveling off the left side of the roadway and through the median cable fence into the IR 71 northbound lanes. Units 4 and 5 were traveling northbound on IR 71. Unit 1 struck unit 4 head on in the middle lane. Unit 3 was traveling northbound on IR 71 in the right lane. Unit 4 was thrown into unit 3 causing unit 3 to over turn. Unit 1 continued and struck unit 5. The drivers of units 4 and 5 sustained fatal injuries.
