Additional Narrative

Unit 1 operated east on Union Ave. in excess of the posted 35 MPH Speed limit when the operator lost control rotating clockwise as it went off of the south side of the roadway colliding with a Utility pole across from 7605 Union Ave. Unit 2 stated he was westbound on Union Ave. making a left turn to southbound E. 76th when he saw Unit 1 driving at a high rate of speed eastbound on Union Ave. swerving to the left to avoid him in his left turn. The witness heard the crash and returned to the scene to call 911.
