This accident, involving 2 vehicles occurred on Monday, May 6th 2024 at approximately 12:10 am. The driver of gray Honda (2021) ran red light. Injuries were reported. An officer from Cleveland Police Department was present at the scene and recorded the information contained in this report.
Unit 1 operated westbound on Kinsman Rd. disobeying the overhead red light at the E. 79th St. intersection. Unit 2 operating southbound on E. 79th St. drove through the Kinsman Rd. intersection with a green traffic signal colliding with the right side of Unit 1. Unit 1 went off the south side of the roadway in a northwesterly direction colliding with decorative steel artwork; black metal fencing; bushes as it rolled over. The front end collided with a utility pole and the rear end collided with a tree. Unit 1 rolled back on its wheel as it collided with chain link fencing. The two passengers of Unit 1 were ejected through the rear passenger's side door that came off of the vehicle.
