This accident, involving 3 vehicles occurred on Tuesday, May 14th 2024 at approximately 12:26 pm. The driver of brown Hyundai (2015) other improper action. Injuries were reported. An officer from Columbus Police Department was present at the scene and recorded the information contained in this report.

Units #1 and #2 were traveling eastbound on Mound St. at S. Highland Ave. when they collided; one with the other. At the time of this initial report; the identities of persons involved; and / or the nature of their involvement in the crash were uncomfirmed. Some of the persons involved fled the scene. One person was transported by CFD Medic 3 to Grant Hospital where they were pronounced deceased at 1:00pm. A second person was transported by CFD Medic 10 to Children's Hospital with non life-threatening injury. The Accident Investigation Unit responded to initiate an investigation.
