This accident, involving 1 vehicle occurred on Monday, April 15th 2024 at approximately 11:07 pm. The driver of black Harley Davidson (2003) drove off road. Injuries were reported. An officer from Findlay Police Department was present at the scene and recorded the information contained in this report.
Unit 1 was traveling eastbound in the 300 block of Coventry Dr. Unit 1 left the right side of the roadway striking a mailbox and the driver was ejected and struck a tree. Unit 1 continued eastbound with out an operator for a distance of approximently 100 feet. The driver was deceased on scene. On 4/15/2024 at 2307 hours Ofcr. Burkholder #274 and I were dispatched to 301 Coventry Dr. for a possible motorcycle crash. The caller Carl Hayslett stated that a motorcycle was laying in the street. He then informed dispatch that a male was observed laying away from the motorcycle and the male was not breathing and was "Twisted". I arrived from the west of the location and observed a body lying on the south side of the street in front of 301 Coventry Dr. next to a tree. I approached the male and observed he was clearly deceased as his upper body was facing the opposite from his lower. The male had a blood coming from his face. In the roadway to the north of the male was what appeared to be a large chunk of lung tissue. At 2313 hours I informed dispatch the male was deceased. The motorcycle was approximately 100 feet from the body and parts of the bike were scattered towards its location to the east. The motorcycle was a 2003 black Harley Davidson; bearing Ohio registration CAC31 that was registered to Jason Grine. The motorcycle had broken fairing and large amounts of dirt an
