Description

Additional Narrative

Unit 1 utilized I-280N exit ramp 11 as an on-ramp and entered the northbound lanes of travel; headed southbound. Unit 1 merged into on-coming traffic and struck Unit 2 as it traveled northbound on I-280N just south of exit 11. The operator of Unit 1 was partially ejected from the vehicle. The operator of Unit 1 was transported to St. Vincent Hospital for possible serious injuries. The operator of Unit 2 was mechanically extricated from the vehicle; transported to St. Vincent Hospital; and was pronounced deceased at 23:26 hours by Dr. A. Dzurik. Referred to the Coroner. No insurance information provided for Unit 1 or Unit 2. Investigation continues.
