This accident, involving 1 vehicle occurred on Tuesday, March 5th 2024 at approximately 8:58 pm. The driver of blue; dark Fiat (2012) drove off road. Injuries were reported. An officer from Sharonville Police Department was present at the scene and recorded the information contained in this report.
Unit #1 was traveling south on IR75 approaching the 17-mile post; and taking the exit ramp to EB275. The operator of Unit #1 failed to maintain reasonable control causing Unit #1 to exit the right side of the roadway and strike a guardrail face. After maximum engagement with the guardrail; Unit #1 was redirected back onto the roadway. Unit #1 then exited the left side of the roadway and struck an impact attenuator. After maximum engagement with the attenuator; Unit #1 became displaced on its vertical axis and began to rotate counterclockwise where it struck the concrete median barrier before reaching its uncontrolled final rest facing generally north. The operator of Unit #1 was freed by nonmechanical means and transported to Bethesda North Hospital with life-threatening injuries. She was later transported to The University of Cincinnati Medical Center; where she succumbed to her injuries.
