This accident, involving 1 vehicle occurred on Wednesday, February 14th 2024 at approximately 6:24 pm. The driver of black Chevrolet (2009) drove off road. Injuries were reported. An officer from Glendale Police Department was present at the scene and recorded the information contained in this report.
Just prior to the crash; witnesses stated Unit 1 slowly proceeded slowly through the intersection of SR-747 and Tri-County Parkway against a red traffic signal and then accelerated rapidly.Unit 1 was traveling southbound in the 1200 block SR-747 (Congress Avenue). Unit 1 then drifted off the right side of the roadway; striking a tree. As a result; Unit 1 became both vertically and longitudinally displaced and began rolling onto its driver's side. Unit 1 then struck a streetlight; residential fence and utility pole. Unit 1 came to an uncontrolled final rest upright; partially ejecting its operator through the driver's side window; facing generally westbound off the westside of the roadway. The operator of Unit 1 was mechanically extricated by the Glendale / Sharonville Fire Departments and then transported to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center at West Chester where he was pronounced dead by Dr. Frederick at 7:08pm.
