This investigation reveals that Unit #1 (Adams) was walking northbound on Lancaster Dr. near Carlisle Ave. on the shoulder of the southbound travel lane. Adams was walking with her wife; Anna Baltatzis (witness); and their K9. Baltatzis advised that Unit #2 was traveling southbound on Lancaster Dr. and for an unknown reason struck Adams then fled the scene without providing Baltatzis with any contact information or contacting the Police. Baltatzis described Unit #2 as a white larger pick-up truck that was last observed fleeing southbound on Lancaster Dr. Unit #1 was transported to Mercy Health (main) for medical treatment but succumbed to her injuries and died. Officers checked the area for Unit #2 but were unable to locate it.
