UNIT 1 WAS TRAVELING WEST BOUND ON WEST PARK AVE. UNIT 2 WAS TRAVELING EAST BOUND ON WEST PARK AVE. UNIT 1 OVER TOOK A VEHICLE ALSO TRAVELING WEST BOUND; CROSSED THE CENTER LINE INTO THE EAST BOUND LANE STRIKING UNIT 2 HEAD ON. THE COLLISION CAUSED BOTH VEHICLES TO GO OFF OF THE ROADWAY. THERE WAS HEAVY FRONT END DAMAGE TO BOTH VEHICLES DISABLING BOTH OF THEM. UNIT 1 DRIVER HAD POSSIBLE MINOR INJURIES BUT WAS TREATED ON SCENE BY LANES EMS. UNIT 2 DRIVER HAD POSSIBLE SERIOUS INJURIES AND HAD TO BE EXTRACTED FROM THE VEHICLE BY FIRE PERSONNEL. UNIT 2 DRIVER WAS TRANSPORTED BY LANES EMS TO ST. ELIZABETH MAIN HOSPITAL IN YOUNGSTOWN.
