Unit 2 was traveling northbound on Colerain Avenue in the area of 7434 Colerain Avenue. Unit 1; a pedestrian; crossed from the westbound side of the roadway to the eastbound side of the roadway outside of the marked crosswalk in a general eastbound direction. The portion of the roadway where the pedestrian crossed is a dark lit portion of the roadway in the area of 7393 Colerain Avenue. As the pedestrian was crossing the roadway; they stopped in the northbound lane of travel causing the driver of unit 2 to strike them with the front drivers side area of his vehicle. The pedestrian was thrown in front of the vehicle and slid approximately 50 feet north of the vehicle facing a general southbound direction. The pedestrian was transported to University Hospital by Colerain Medic 26 where they were pronounced deceased.
