UNIT #1 WAS TRAVELING EAST ON NEEDMORE ROAD IN THE LEFT THROUGH LANE APPROACHING THE INTERSECTION WITH WEBSTER STREET. UNIT #1 FAILED TO MAINTAIN AN ASSURED CLEAR DISTANCE AHEAD TO STOP; AND COLLIDED WITH THE REAR OF UNIT #2; WHICH WAS TRAVELING EAST ON NEEDMORE ROAD IN THE LEFT THROUGH LANE AT THE INTERSECTION WITH WEBSTER STREET. UNIT #2 WAS ACCELERATING IN TRAFFIC DUE TO THE TRAFFIC SIGNAL CHANGING TO GREEN.
