This accident, involving 3 vehicles occurred on Monday, March 20th 2023 at approximately 8:35 pm. The driver of tan Lincoln (2001) vision obstruction. Injuries were reported. An officer from Circleville (Township of) Police Department was present at the scene and recorded the information contained in this report.

Unit 1 was on US 23 in the southbound right lane of travel stopped in the middle of the roadway. Unit 2 then struck Unit 1 in the rear of the vehicle causing disabling damage to Unit 1 and severe injuries to Unit 1 motorist. Unit 2 landed in the left lane disabled. Unit 2 motorist had minor injuries reported on scene. Unit 3 attempted to swerve and miss both units and went off the right side of the roadway causing minor damage to the vehicle. Unit 3 did not report any injuries on scene. Supplemental Information - On 3/21/2023; the Pickaway County Sheriff's Office was informed Unit 1 driver Paul Wegmeyer had passed away at Grant Hospital. This accident remains under investigation.
