This accident, involving 2 vehicles occurred on Thursday, May 11th 2023 at approximately 2:57 pm. The driver of red Buick (1998) improper lane change. Injuries were reported. An officer from Moraine Police Department was present at the scene and recorded the information contained in this report.

On 5-11-2023 at approxiamtely 1457 hours; Unit 1 was traveling south bound on IR 75 in the left through lane at an unknown speed; Unit 2 was traveling in the middle through lane at approximately 54 MPH in a 55 MPH construction zone. Approximately 25 feet north of the 51/0 MP Unit 1 crossed over the marked lane and struck Unit 2. Unit 1's rear passenger side struck Unit 2's driver front wheel. Unit 1 then swerved to the left and struck a cement median which caused the vehicle to turn over onto it's top and slide across the three lanes of travel into the gore between the through lanes of travel and the off ramp to SR 741. The driver of Unit 1 was found to be deceased at the scene.
