Description

This accident, involving 7 vehicles occurred on Friday, March 3rd 2023 at approximately 7:32 pm. The driver of white Freightliner (2023) following too close / acda. Injuries were reported. Additional Narrative

Unit #1 was on IR-80 (Ohio Turnpike) disabled in the center lane from a previous crash. Unit #3; Unit #4; Unit #5; Unit #6; and Unit #7 were standing outside of Unit #1. Unit #2 struck Unit #1; Unit #3 and Unit #6. Unit #1 was pushed into Unit #4; Unit #5; and Unit #7 before running off the road to the left and striking the concrete median barrier wall. Unit #2 then ran off the road to the right and struck a guardrail before jackknifing. After being struck by Unit #2; Unit #3 struck the guardail before coming to rest on the edge of a water filled ditch off the north side of the road.
