This accident occured in the intersection of W Lane Ave and Carmack Road. Unit 1 was traveling NB on Carmack Rd in the Southbound Lane and entered the intersection at W Lane Ave going through the red light when the unit was struck by Unit 2 which was traveling EB on W Lane Ave through the intersection at Carmack Rd going through a green light. Unit 1 driver as well as two other occupants in unit 1 stated they went through the red light at W Lane ave and were struck by Unit 2 which caused them to drive off the road on the NE cornor of the intersection go airborn then land and overturn before the unit came to a stop. Unit 2 driver and passenger stated that they were traveling EB on W Lane Ave when unit 1 entered the intersection at Carmack Road going through a red light and Unit 2 struck Unit 1. Unit 2 ran off the road on the NE side of W Lane Ave before coming to a stop. Unit 1 driver was transported to Childrens Hospital by CFD medic 25. Unit 1 front passenger was transported to OSU Main Hospital by Grandview Medic 51. Unit 1 passenger side rear was transported to Riverside Hospital by CFD Medic 7. Unit 1 rear middle and rear driver side passengers were pronounced on scene by CFD EMS 13. Unit 2 driver and passenger were transported to Riverside Hospital by Upper Arlington Medic 71. AIU detectives responded and took over the investigation. Both units were towed by ProTow.
