On the aforementioned date; time; and location; Unit #1 was westbound on Interstate 71 approaching the downtown area (Exit 101B) in the #2 lane. Unit #1 failed to maintain control and struck the guardrailon the left side of the roadway. The driver of Unit #1 was pronounced at the scene. The passenger of Unit #1 was transported to Grant Medical Center in critical condition. The Passenger of Unit #1 was treated by Trrauma Doctors and ER staff. The vehicle was ultimately towed to the impond lot. Columbus Police Accident Investigation Unit responded to process the scene.
