Additional Narrative

According to the witness; unit #2 was eastbound on US 35 in the left lane. Unit #1 was eastbound on US 35 behind unit #2 in the left lane. Unit #1 got into the right lane and began to pass unit #2. Unit #1 lost control and struck the rear passenger quarter panel of unit #2. Unit #1 left the right side of the roadway; striking the guardrail. Unit #1 went over the guardrail; over the embankment; continuing eastbound in the grass; tricking a tree. Unit #1 came to rest on its driver's side with the driver partially ejected out of the driver's side window. The driver of unit #1 was pronounced dead at the scene at 2244 hrs by BFD FF Hoagland. Unit #2 sustained minor damage.
