Unit 1 was traveling northbound on Oak just south of Greenwood; while being pursued by Toledo Police unit 1168. The operator of Unit 1 failed to control the vehicle; drove off the roadway to the right and struck the front of a building at 515 Oak. Unit 1 continued; crossing all lanes of travel on Oak; drove off the roadway to the left and came to rest near 512 Oak. The operator of Unit 1 was transported to St. Vincent Hospital with life threatening injuries and was pronounced deceased by medical staff at 23:53 hours. The three passengers were transported by Toledo Fire to St. Vincent Hospital for further evaluation. No insurance provided. Investigation continues.
