On 7/22/2023 at 8:59 pm; Tyrell Shute was operating a stolen 2015 Kia Soul northbound in the parking lot of 841 Greenfield Dr. Tyrell Shute drove over the curb at the north end of the parking lot and began to drive on the grassy area behind 793 Canoby Pl. At the same time John Doe (4 year old) was playing with his mother in the area behind 793 Canoby Pl. Tyrell Shute struck John Doe with the front of the Kia. He bailed out of the Kia near 790 Canoby Pl. and continued northbound on foot out of the area. Officers that were in the area placed John Doe in a cruiser and transported him to Nationwide Children’s Hospital. At 9:39pm John Doe was pronounced dead.
