This accident, involving 2 vehicles occurred on Tuesday, July 4th 2023 at approximately 11:19 pm. The driver of failure to yield. Injuries were reported. An officer from Lorain Police Department was present at the scene and recorded the information contained in this report.
Unit #2 was reportedly crossing E 36th Street S/B on foot just West of Omaha Ave. Unit #2 was not in a marked crosswalk. Unit #1 was E/B on E 36th Street and struck Unit #2 with the front right of the vehicle. Unit #2 was thrown onto the pavement of the 3600 block of Omaha Avenue where she came to final rest. Unit #1 then fled the scene E/B on E. 36th Street. Driver of Unit #1 was identified and located shortly after the crash. See Lorain Police Investigative Report #2023-22805 for further details.
