Description

Additional Narrative

Unit 1 was traveling north on IR 71 onto the IR 270E ramp when they ran off the road to the left and went airborne. Unit 1 then struck a ditch before going airborne again. Unit 1 struck another ditch and then a rock which caused them to overturn and become immersed in water.   The passenger was transported to Grant Hospital (Columbus) with serious injuries by Jackson Township Medic 201. The driver of the vehicle was pronounced deceased on scene by Jackson Township Medic 203 at 1241 hours.
