This accident, involving 2 vehicles occurred on Monday, May 22nd 2023 at approximately 5:47 pm. The driver of red Yamaha (2012) improper passing. Injuries were reported. An officer from Washington (Township of) Police Department was present at the scene and recorded the information contained in this report.
Unit 1 and Unit 2 were traveling westbound on CR 226 near TR 261. Unit 1 went to pass Unit 2 as it was making a left hand turn. Unit 1 collided with Unit 2. On May 22; 2023 the Sheriff's Office received a 911 call referencing an injury crash. Deputy Ritter and I were dispatched to the location of 22069 CR 226. While en route; Dispatch advised it was a Motorcycle vs a Farm Tractor. Dispatch advised the Motorcycle Driver may be deceased. Dispatch advised the caller was unwilling to preform CPR. I arrived on scene and observed a farm tractor with a mowing attachment on the back and a motorcycle on its side. I observed a male laying on his right side approximately 1 foot from the left tire of the mower attachment. I observed a serious head injury to the back of the motorcyclist head. I observed a large amount of blood to the right of him. I put on gloves and rolled him to his back to check for a pulse. I felt a faint pulse. I started CPR and noticed blood to becoming out of his nose and the area of his head injury. Deputy Ritter advised he did not feel a pulse. CPR was stopped due to the amount of blood loss; blood coming out of his head injury during compressions and no pulse felt by Deputy Ritter.
