This accident, involving 2 vehicles occurred on Sunday, May 28th 2023 at approximately 5:10 pm. The driver of multicolored Honda (2017) unsafe speed. Injuries were reported. An officer from Maumee Police Department was present at the scene and recorded the information contained in this report.

Unit 01 was stationary in traffic in the left turn lane on NB Conant St. attempting to turn left into 731 Conant St.(Little Caesar's). Unit 02 was SB on Conant St. in the right thru lane. The driver of Unit 01 advised that his vision was obstructed due to another vehicle being in the left thru lane of SB Conant St. The driver of Unit 01 stated that he attempted to make the left turn into 731 Conant St. and did not observe Unit 02. Unit 02 struck the passenger side of Unit 01. The driver of Unit 02 was pronounced deceased at 1733 hrs by Life squad. The driver of Unit 01 denied any medical attention. Both vehicles were towed away by Ankenbrandt's towing for further investigation. Detective Rutledge responded to the scene for further investigation.
