Unit 1 was traveling southbound in the parking lot of 625 W. Central Avenue. The driver of Unit 1 failed to reasonably control the vehicle. As a result; Unit 1 struck a cement base to a utility pole and fled from the scene. Unit 1 was located by an SPD unit shortly after fleeing. The driver of Unit 1 suffered a medical event stemming from the collision; which resulted in his death.
