Additional Narrative

Unit 1 was southbound on the Kenmore leg (westbound I 76) in the left lane approaching the I 277 interchange. Unit 1 came upon unit 2 who was standing behind her vehicle; Unit 3 after stopping it in the travel lane without hazards flashing. Unit 1 was unable to stop and struck unit 2 and unit 3. Unit 2 had apparently stopped her vehicle in the left travel lane to remove a piece of furniture she encountered in the roadway.
