Unit 1 was traveling westbound on Broad Blvd. approaching the intersection of State Rd. Unit 2 pedestrian was standing on the sidewalk of State Rd. south of Broad Blvd. Unit 1 was negotiating a left hand turn onto State Rd. headed southbound. Unit 2 stepped off the curb and began crossing State Rd. walking eastbound. Unit 1 struck Unit 2 with the front end of the vehicle. Unit 2 succumbed to injuries and was pronounced deceased at 1309 hours by Western Reserve Hospital.
