Unit 2 was eastbound on SR40 overpass in the right lane with a solid green traffic signal. Unit 1; who was a pedestrian was attempting to cross E. Main St. from the south curb to the north curb 20 feet east of the intersect of N. Greenmount Ave. outside of a marked crosswalk. Unit 2 continued through the intersection on the solid green traffic signal to continued eastbound on E; Main St. where SR40 overpass becomes E. Main St. east of the intersection of N. Greenmount Ave. and struck unit 1 in the roadway causing fatal injury to unit 1.
