Unit #2 was observed laying in the South eastbound lane of W. Broad St in front of 3479 W. Broad St on security camera video. Unit #2 came to a rest there after likely being struck by an unknown vehicle - Unit #1. No witnesses to the accident were located. The security video did not capture the moment of the impact. A green Chevy Avalanche was observed driving by Unit #2 in the South eastbound lane of W. Broad St immediately after Unit #2 was struck. The victim was transported to Doctors West Hospital by CFD Medic #12 in life threatening condition. Unit #2 was later pronounced deceased at 7:55pm. The Columbus Police Accident Investigation Unit was contacted and responded to the scene to complete the investigation.
