This accident, involving 2 vehicles occurred on Tuesday, September 5th 2023 at approximately 11:08 am. The driver of red Nissan (2016) left of center. Injuries were reported. An officer from Lancaster Police Department was present at the scene and recorded the information contained in this report.

Unit 1 was SB in the 2000 block of N Columbus St. Unit 2 was NB in the 2000 block of N Columbus St. Unit1 crossed the centerline and entered the NB lane of travel. Unit 1 & 2 collided head on in the roadway in front of 2048 N Columbus St. Unit 1 was at fault. Supplement: on 9/27/2023; I was contacted by Tom Gwinn with the Ohio Dept of Public Safety in regards to this crash. Gwinn advised that the driver of Unit 1; Joyce Cochran; had passed away on 9/14/2023 at Grand Medical Center. I spoke to Ofc McManaway; who advised Cochran was in a neck brace but was sitting up on the cot when being loaded into the medic. Sgt Hall advised he responded to the scene but the vehicles were already moved by the wreckers and there was no evidence for a technical crash investigation.
