Unit 1 was traveling north on US 127. Unit 2 was traveling south on US 127 pulling a box trailer. For an unknown reason; Unit 1 went left of center and began to travel into the southbound lane. Unit 2 began to slow and traveled along and off the white fog line with the passenger side tires to attempt to avoid a collision. Unit 1 continued continued to remain in the southbound lane and Unit 2 then began to brake hard; causing skid marks on the roadway. According to Unit 2; the driver of Unit 1 began remained in the wrong lane of travel between 150 to 200 yards; before striking Unit 2. Unit 2 had about slowed to a stop and remained near the same location of impact to a final rest. Unit 1 traveled off the east side of the roadway to final rest facing north.
