Unit #1 was traveling westbound on W. Church St. near 1014 W. Church St. when it struck a pedestrian crossing the roadway. The pedestrian was crossing the roadway from the south. The pedestrian was pronounced deceased on scene per Newark EMS. Newark technical crash team was called to the scene. Porky's towing arrived on scene for the vehicle impound.
