On May 13; 2022; at 5:01PM; the Wood County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 report of a single motorcycle crash on State Route 65 (West River Road) between Range Line Road and Brillhart Road. A 2012 Harley Davidson motorcycle was traveling southwest on State Route 65; lost control while overtaking/passing another vehicle; drove off the right side of the roadway; overturned and struck a fence. The operator suffered injuries incompatible with life and was pronounced deceased at the scene. A single passenger was transported to a trauma center by air ambulance with critical injuries. The motorcycle sustained disabling damage which required a tow. Photographs were taken and a full crash reconstruction was performed.
