This accident occurred on Thursday, December 22nd 2022 at approximately 1:59 pm. Injuries were reported. An officer from MAPLE HEIGHTS Police Department was present at the scene and recorded the information contained in this report.

Unit 1 was traveling west on Raymond St. It was reported by witnesses that Unit 1 was traveling at approximately 100 mph. Unit 1 reportedly went left of center around an RTA Transit Bus that was also stopped facing westbound on Raymond St. It was reported that Unit 1 failed to stop for the red light located at Raymond St. and Lee Rd. Unit 1 continued off the roadway at the northeast corner of the Raymond St and Lee Rd intersection; just before crossing Lee Rd. Unit 1 continued west across the northbound and southbound lanes of Lee Rd. striking the traffic control box located at the north west corner of the Lee Rd. and Raymond St. intersection. Unit 1 struck the southeast corner of 5080 Lee Rd; entering the east wall of Apartment 2; striking Deborah Ferguson. Deborah was sitting on a couch along the East wall of Apartment 2 facing West. Unit 1 continued approximately 15 feet inside of the building where it came to a final rest. Deborah was located laying face up between the couch and Unit 1 s final resting spot. Deborah was pronounced deceased on scene. See Incident Report and OVI report for further.
