This accident, involving 1 vehicle occurred on Thursday, December 29th 2022 at approximately 3:03 pm. The driver of black Subaru (2021) drove off road. Injuries were reported. An officer from Ridge (Township of) Police Department was present at the scene and recorded the information contained in this report.
Unit #1 was northbound on Greenville Road just to the south of Peter Collins Road. Unit #1 failed to properly negotiate a curve and drove off the left side of the road and entered a wet; grassy property (13024 Peter Collin Road). Unit #1 continued through the grass and struck a pile of dirt causing Unit #1 to go airborne. Approximately 60 feet later; Unit #1 landed on the ground and rolled over coming to rest on the driver's side of the vehicle. Unit #1 came to rest approximately 200 feet off of the roadway. The driver of Unit #1 was trapped in the vehicle and had to be extricated by mechanical means. While the tow company was removing the vehicle; some damage occurred to the grassy area owned by Christopher Heath (419-203-9271). On December 29th; 2022; at approximately 1610 hours; I arrived at Van Wert Health to speak with Charles about the accident. Upon arrival; Charles was in the "trauma room" in the emergency department. Charles was being tended to by hospital staff. I learned that Charles was going to be air lifted to St. Rita's Medical Center; due to the extent of his injuries. I was unable to speak with Charles regarding the accident. I was able to obtain a phone number for Brennan Profit (Charles' son; 567-259-9644). On December 30th; 2022; at approximately 0830 hours; I called St. Rita's Medical Center to get an update on Charles. The woman I spoke
