Unit 1; operated by Leonard Moses James Williams Junior; entered the Memphis Picnic Area from the intersection of Tiedeman Road and Memphis Avenue. Williams travelled North through the picnic area at a high rate of speed. He lost control of his vehicle on the final curve before the last parking lot; striking a tree and going airborne. While airborne; he struck two other trees; causing his vehicle to overturn and come to final rest on the roof; with the vehicle facing Southeast. The vehicle sustained severe disabling damage and Williams died at the scene. r n r nBrooklyn Police Officer Dan Celis (badge #63) was the first officer on scene. He provided a statement and a BPD CAD number of 2220205529.
