Accident occurred on 12/18/2022 at 6:26pm when Unit 2 was traveling west bound in lane 2 on E Livingston Ave just west of the Bairsford Dr intersection when the Driver and Passenger heard a thump. The Driver of Unit 2 pulled over to see damage to the vehicle; they returned to where the thump was heard to see a pedestrian lying down in the road partially in the north sidewalk unresponsive; outside of the crosswalk. Officers arrived on scene and began chest compressions immediately on the pedestrian. The pedestrian was transported by CFD Medic 823 to MCE in critical condition. The pedestrian was pronounced deceased at MCE at 6:56pm. The Driver and Passenger of Unit 2 remained on scene and spoke with CPD AIU. Unit 2 was released from scene without incident. No injuries were reported from the driver of Unit 2 or the passenger.
