This accident, involving 2 vehicles occurred on Monday, November 28th 2022 at approximately 1:22 pm. The driver of black Dodge (2020) ran red light. Injuries were reported. An officer from TOLEDO Police Department was present at the scene and recorded the information contained in this report.
Unit 1 was traveling westbound on Islington St. and Unit 2 was traveling northbound on Collingwood Blvd. Unit 2 was traveling at a high rate of speed and ran the red light striking Unit 1. Unit 1 spun striking a curb then a metal sculpture in the median. Both occupants from Unit 1 were ejected from the vehicle and struck the pavement in the southbound lane of travel on Collingwood Blvd. Unit 2 veered off northwest in the southbound lane of travel on Collingwood Blvd striking a curb; fence and then an embankment. The occupants from Unit 2 fled the accident scene on foot. Hit skip Unit 2 is a stolen vehicle. SHE WAS A PASSENGER IN UNIT 1
