Unit #1 was on the parking lot of 10376 and was attempting to back a chassis trailer. Unit #1 pulled forward catching the right rear corner of the chassis trailer on the left front corner of Unit #2 pinning Unit #3 between the two trailers. This accident occurred on Private Property. Unit 1 was pulling an empty intermodal container chassis trailer bearing Tennessee registration plate U772486. Unit 2 was a parked intermodal container chassis/trailer bearing Maine registration plate 25-36371. Unit 3 walked from the northwest corner of the aisle over to the east side of the aisle at the front of the row of parked containers. Unit 3 then walked south along the front of the containers to the area where Unit 1 was backing. To avoid being struck by Unit 1; Unit 3 stepped in between the Unit 2 and another parked chassis trailer/container. Unit 1 struck Unit 2 which was slid in a northerly direction into Unit 3 pinning Unit 3 between two containers. Unit 3 was wearing a reflective vest while walking on the lot of the intermodal yard. Measurements of the scene were taken by Cpl. Levi Freeman utilizing a robotic total station. An OHSA representative responded to the scene due to the event being a workplace serious injury/fatal event. Weather: Partly cloudy; no adverse conditions. Location of incident is an active grain storage/distribution facility and intermodal container
