This accident, involving 1 vehicle occurred on Saturday, October 29th 2022 at approximately 10:52 am. The driver of blue Chevrolet (2006) drove off road. Injuries were reported. An officer from Willoughby Police Department was present at the scene and recorded the information contained in this report.
Unit #1 was traveling eastbound on SR 640 (Vine) in the right lane. The vehicle was observed going off the right side of the roadway between the overpass and Skiff Street before returning to SR 640. Unit #1 continued to travel east on SR 640 before leaving the right side of the roadway at 37710. Unit #1 struck Utility pole 685110 as it continued east. Unit #1 struck some large rocks and a gas meter. Unit #1 continued east before striking the northwest corner of 37722 Vine Street trapping both occupants. The driver was freed by bystanders. The passenger was unable to be extricated and succumbed to the ensuing fire.
