This accident, involving 2 vehicles occurred on Thursday, September 8th 2022 at approximately 3:51 pm. The driver of taupe (brown) Ford (2004) left of center. Injuries were reported. An officer from KENTON Police Department was present at the scene and recorded the information contained in this report.

Unit 1 traveled left of center and struck the front of unit 2. See page 6 for full narrative. On September 9; 2022; at about 1551 hours; I was dispatched to the 200 block of N. Detroit St. for a reported traffic crash with injuries. Dispatch said the caller reported a car and semi tractor/trailer had collided. At the time I was about two blocks from that location and I arrived in under a minute. I observed a Taupe colored Ford Focus facing South in the northbound lane of N. Detroit St. The vehicle had collided head on with a white Freightliner semi tractor that was pulling a tanker trailer. The tractor/trailer was in the northbound lane and was facing North. Initial observations indicated the Ford had been traveling South; had traveled left of center into the northbound lane; and had struck the semi tractor. I identified the driver of the semi tractor as Bobby Slater-Baty. Bobby was visibly distraught and upset. Bobby said the Ford had driven into the front of his vehicle. Bobby was the only occupant of the semi tractor. The driver and only occupant of the Ford was identified as Karen Engdahl. Karen's vehicle had severe front end damage and her front airbags had deployed. Karen was slumped forward toward the steering wheel. Karen was moaning in obvious pain and she did not appear to be fully conscious. A witness; later identified as Stephanie Sherman; was speaking with Ka
