This accident, involving 2 vehicles occurred on Saturday, October 15th 2022 at approximately 1:30 am. The driver of silver Chevrolet (2014) ran red light. Injuries were reported. An officer from Columbus Police Department was present at the scene and recorded the information contained in this report.
Driver of Unit #1 was traveling Northbound on Sunbury Rd. just South of Morse Rd. approaching a red light. Driver of Unit #2 was traveling Westbound on Morse Rd just East of Sunbury Rd. approaching a green light. Driver of Unit #1 failed to stop at the red light and continued through the intersection. Driver of Unit #2 continued through the intersection while having the green light. Upon entering the intersection Unit #2 was struck by Unit #1. Driver of Unit #1 was subsequently transported by Clinton TWP Medic 61 to OSU Main in stable condition with unknown injuries. Driver of Unit #2 was trapped and had to be extricated. Driver of Unit #2 was transported by Medic 29 to Grant in stable condition with unknown injuries. Front Right Passenger #1 was transported by Clinton TWP 61 to OSU Main in stable condition with unknown injuries. Rear Right Passenger #2 was pronounced at 1:50 AM by Medic 29. AIU was contacted and responded. Franklin County Coroner responded. Both Unit #1 and Unit #2 suffered disabling damage and were towed to City Impound Lot by Protow.
