This accident, involving 2 vehicles occurred on Thursday, October 13th 2022 at approximately 10:03 am. The driver of black Chevrolet (2003) left of center. Injuries were reported. An officer from Liberty (Township of) Police Department was present at the scene and recorded the information contained in this report.
Unit #1 was North bound on US 127; Unit #2 was south bound on US 127. Unit #2 went left of center South of the Snyder road; 127 intersection. Unit #2 then struck Unit #1 slightly behind the driver's door near the fuel tank. Unit #2 the continued to scrap down the side of Unit #1 striking the tires on the Unit and the tires on the trailer that Unit #1 was pulling. Unit #2 then went back across it original lane of travel and came to a rest on the west side of the roadway. Unit #1 came to a stop on the East side of the roadway. Supplement.On Thursday 10/13/2022 at 1005 myself and Deputy Wiley were sent to an accident between a car and a semi with Injury and entrapment. On the way to the scene I heard VWPD radio traffic about the possibility of the vehicle in the accident; being called in for crossing the center line multiple time while in the city of Van Wert. When we arrived at the Scene Sgt. East was on scene with Ohio City Fire and Ems. Ohio City was working on getting the driver of the black Chevy Tahoe out of the SUV due to him being entrapped. The black Tahoe was sitting on the west side of the roadway with the front driver side tire ripped off due to hitting the semi and damage down the entire driver side of the Tahoe.
