Unit #1 was traveling westbound in the passing lane on N. Ridge Rd. west of McMackin Rd. Unit #2 was traveling eastbound in the passing lane on N. Ridge Rd.; west of McMackin Rd. Unit #3 was traveling eastbound on N. Ridge Rd. in the curb lane and Unit #4 was traveling eastbound in the curb lane behind Unit #3. Unit #1 went left of center and sideswiped the driver side of Unit #2. Unit #2 crossed into the curb lane then traveled off the right side of the road before coming to a stop facing northeast in the yard at 5386 N. Ridge Rd. Unit #1 continued on and struck Unit #3 almost head on. Unit #1 came to a rest facing southeast across the east and west bound lanes of N. Ridge Rd. Unit #3 after being struck from the front was then rear ended by Unit #4.
