This accident, involving 3 vehicles occurred on Sunday, July 17th 2022 at approximately 10:01 pm. The driver of improper crossing. Injuries were reported. An officer from Forest Park Police Department was present at the scene and recorded the information contained in this report.

Unit 1; a Pedestrian; was walking on Winton Rd. in the 11700 block; in an unknown direction and was not in a marked crosswalk.  Unit 3 was traveling northbound on Winton Rd. when Unit 3 struck Unit 1.  Unit 1 landed between the left and middle lane of northbound Winton Rd.  The operator of Unit 3 continued in a northerly direction without stopping.  Unit 2 was traveling northbound on Winton Rd. in the middle lane when the operator stated he saw something in the roadway.  The operator of Unit 2 attempted to swerve and miss the object but was unsuccessful due to the roadway conditions.  This caused Unit 1 to become stuck underneath Unit 2 and traveled under Unit 2 until the operator came to a controlled stop at the Kemper Meadow Dr intersection.  The operator of Unit 2 exited his vehicle and ran back to the initial impact point to render aid; but when he arrived in the area of impact; Unit 1 was not located.  Only after walking back to Unit 2 was the operator able to see Unit 1 was under Unit 2.  The operator of Unit 2 attempted to jack up his vehicle and render aid before EMS arrived.  A witness stated he saw Unit 1 laying in the roadway and he appeared to have been struck prior to Unit 2 striking him.  Evidence at the scene was consistent with what the witness stated and physical evidence on Unit 2 showed Unit 1 was on the ground at the time of contact with Unit 2.  No descript
