This accident, involving 2 vehicles occurred on Wednesday, May 4th 2022 at approximately 8:00 am. The driver of white Chevrolet (2016) following too close / acda. Injuries were reported. An officer from Litchfield Police Department was present at the scene and recorded the information contained in this report.
Unit #1 was traveling east on SR 18. Unit #2; a horse drawn buggy; was also eastbound on SR 18. Unit #1 struck the left rear corner of unit #2. Unit #2 was destroyed and the four occupants were ejected from the buggy. One of the subjects from unit #2 suffered fatal injuries. Two of the occupants from unit #2 were transported to the hospital with critical injuries; and on occupant of unit #2 sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported to another hospital.
