Unit #1 was southbound on Muchmore Road from Miami Road. Unit #1 negotiated a right hand curve and went left of center; off the left side of the road; and struck a guardrail. The driver's lower left leg was cut off at the point of impact. Unit #1 then slid down the guardrail and came back onto the roadway a short time later sliding on its side. It then went off the left side of the road and came to rest against the guardrail. The driver was thrown from the motorcycle over the side of the guardrail approximately 30 feet into the woods. The guardrail was not damaged.
