This accident, involving 3 vehicles occurred on Saturday, June 4th 2022 at approximately 7:57 pm. The driver of white Honda (2014) improper passing. Injuries were reported. Unit 1 and Unit 2 were traveling south on Amity Rd. Unit 3 was traveling north on Amity Rd. Unit 1 drove in the northbound lane to pass Unit 2. Unit 1 attempted to reenter the southbound lane after being unable to pass Unit 2 due to northbound traffic and struck Unit 2 in the rear. This collision caused Unit 1 to lose control; enter the northbound lanes; turn sideways and was then struck by Unit 3. Unit 1 then went off the road to the right; striking a mailbox and then a utility pole where it came to a rest. Unit 3 came to rest in the front yard of 920 Amity Road.  Driver of Unit 2 was transported by Norwich Medic 82 to Doctors West in critical condition. They were pronounced deceased by the attending physician at 2046 hrs.
