This accident, involving 2 vehicles occurred on Sunday, May 15th 2022 at approximately 5:33 pm. The driver of failure to yield. Injuries were reported. An officer from Crosby (Township of) Police Department was present at the scene and recorded the information contained in this report.

Unit 1; was a pedestrian; which was attempting to cross over New Haven Road from south to north; at the intersection of Oxford Road. Unit 2; was a 2004 Ford F-350 crew cab short bed pick-up truck; which was attempting to make a left turn from the stop sign located at the intersection of Oxford Road and New Haven Road. Unit 2 proceeded to make the left turn onto eastbound New Haven Road; reportedly failing to observe Unit 1 at any point; after stopping at the stop sign on southbound Oxford Road. At the same time Unit 1 proceeded to cross over New Haven Road in a northerly direction; just east of the northeast apex of Oxford Road. At this point a collision occurred when the front portion of Unit 2 struck Unit 1 knocking her onto the asphalt pavement. During the collision Unit 1 became entangled in the undercarriage of Unit2; and was dragged several feet before the driver of Unit 2 realized that he struck a pedestrian. This was evident by physical evidence produced on the asphalt pavement.  Unit 1 was transported by Crosby Township E.M.S. to University of Cincinnati Hospital; where she was pronounced deceased by Dr. Winslow at 1926 Hrs. on 5-15-2022.
