On the above date and listed time; Officers were dispatched to the intersection of East Broad St. and Broad Pointe Pl. on reports of an injury auto accident. When officers arrived on scene Columbus Fire department (CFD) medic #5 was trasnporting 1 male from Unit 1 in critical condition to Mount Carmel East(MCE).Witness #1 on scene stated that he was following Unit 2 going east bound on E. Broad St. when Unit 1 was traveling west bound on E. Broad St. attempted to make a left turn onto Broad Pointe Pl. Unit 2 struck Unit 1. Witness #1 stated that Unit 1 was flipped onto it's side with a male partially ejected out of the vehicle and trapped. Witness #1 stated him and another passerbyer stopped and flipped Unit 1 back onto its wheels to free the male that was trapped and performed CPR until medics arrived. The front seat passenger of Unit 1 was pronounced at 9:34PM at MCE. The driver side rear passenger was transported by CFD Medic #35; critical; to MCE. The right side passenger in Unit 1 was transported by CFD Medic 22 to Children's hospital and treated for a fractured femur. The driver of Unit 1 was transported by CFD Medic 141 to MCE and treated for a broken arm. The driver of Unit 2 was trasnported by Whitehall Medic 152 to MCE and treated for a broken leg. Unit 1 and Unit 2 were towed by Pro Tow to the Columbus Police Department's impound lot for evidence.
